Special asphalt modification of styrene-butadiene latex (SBR) is a copolymer emulsion of butadiene and styrene. It is produced through low-temperature cold polymerization under the action of anionic and non-ionic emulsifiers. Containing 26% bonded styrene, it appears as a creamy white aqueous dispersion with a slight blue luster.
